Service Areas

Since the company was founded in 2004, Scholle’s Land Surveying Inc. has grown and expanded its reach, much like the surrounding communities we serve. From inception, our mission was to provide accurate and reliable service, detailed reports and most of all, effective boundary surveys between neighbors without a war! Word of mouth and good inter-business relations in our primary location, Decatur County, led to exponential growth of our service area.  Our reputation has preceded us as we’ve expanded our reach to meet the requests of clients all over Indiana. Doing business in 15 counties in southeast Indiana, Scholle’s Land Surveying Inc. handles every aspect of land surveying from boundary surveys to route surveys. Using GPS for all of our land surveys and flood certificates, we also promise to save you time and money. Where GPS is not available, a conventional total station is utilized.

Whether you’re embarking on new construction, preparing for the sale of a property, or settling a debate with a neighbor, you’ll need the qualified, highly-trained team from Scholle’s. Every employee at Scholle’s Land Surveying, Inc. has a college degree in land surveying, and understands the attention to detail required in these situations. We also strive for excellent communication between ourselves, the parties involved, and their attorneys, often settling debates and mediating discussions. Let us work with you to resolve any problems discovered during the surveying process, set up meetings between neighbors, and divide property accordingly. We’ll smooth things over when they get rough.

We take care of the research, meticulously seeking the definitive property lines, and having been in business for over 10 years, we are very familiar with the local governments, builders, and land developers. The relationships, knowledge, and respect we’ve gained through the years can’t be replaced, and we value our recognition in the community.

Once the research has been completed, the field work can begin, and our skilled staff evaluates the property or route, detailing in their reports and communicating with all involved. Consider the ease of scheduling a visit to the property and having a detailed, certified, highly-credible report to show your attorney, with little to no effort on your part.

The paperwork involved with boundary and route surveys can be tedious, but we’ve got that taken care of too. Let us deal with the red tape and settle the debates once and for all. We’ll even help eliminate the tension by delivering the news to your neighbors ourselves, and explaining why the survey was completed and who receives what property. Just think, you may have more space than you thought! No more debating with your neighbors about the placement of your garbage can or fence.

Another service that Scholle’s Land Surveying Inc. offers is the production of Flood or Elevation Certificates. Using GPS equipment and the Federal Emergency Management Agency FIRM maps and flood insurance studies (FIS), our team will issue a certificate designating your property’s flooding risk. This is important for several reasons, including the ability of a potential buyer to attain a loan on a property. Many banks require you to carry flood insurance if your property is built in a high-risk flood zone. The amount of damage covered by your insurance policy may vary based on your flood risk, and carrying too little insurance could cost you thousands in the event of a loss. For this reason, you can’t trust just anyone and having a skilled surveyor complete the process could potentially save you from disaster.

Scholle’s Land Surveying Inc. is licensed to survey anywhere in the state, but primarily offers ASCM/ALTA Land Title Surveys in Southeast Indiana.  Contact us for Boundary/Property Line or Route surveys, Topographic Surveys, Soil Erosion Plans, Mortgage Loan Surveys and flood certificates. Also available are Subdivision Design, Easements, Classified Forest Surveys, and Cemetery Surveys. We handle Rural Estates and Estate Auctions as well. Our primary service areas are in and around Decatur County, but we’re open to discussing your needs in any area of Indiana. The following communities are among the many we service. For some, the process of attaining a land survey is foreign territory, but with Scholle’s Land Surveying, Inc. it will feel like a piece of cake. Feel free to give us a call or stop by our office in Greensburg, Indiana, and we’ll be happy to assist you in any way we can.
